Frequently Asked Questions
How do I help an athlete progress when they feel stuck or can’t see the way forward themselves?
Because I see what they can’t see yet. I don’t just look at pace or mileage. I pay attention to how someone moves, how they think about their running, and what they believe about themselves. I spot the patterns, the hesitations, and the strengths that haven’t been tapped into yet.
From there, we shape a training approach that feels supportive and achievable, with clear cues, focused sessions, and gentle mindset shifts that help progress feel possible again.
I help athletes move from “I can’t” to “I didn’t know I could.
How do I help runners progress in ways a PT or fitness coach might not?
Because I coach the whole runner.
PTs and fitness coaches often focus on strength or general conditioning, which is valuable, but running asks for more. I look at movement patterns, endurance strategy, pacing habits, confidence, and how all of these interact with real life.
My approach blends technique, strength, mindset, and sustainable training structure. It’s designed to support the whole person, their body, their goals, and the way they think and feel about running.
I don’t just make runners stronger - I make them more capable, more confident, and more consistent.
How do I help runners progress when another coach hasn’t been able to?
Because I coach with empathy, precision, and purpose.
I’m an England Athletics endurance coach and a Level 4 Strength & Conditioning specialist, with years of experience supporting runners at every stage, from first‑time 5K finishers to ultra athletes chasing big goals. I don’t rely on generic plans or metrics alone. I take time to understand each athlete’s movement patterns, mindset, and real‑life context, and I build a coaching relationship rooted in trust, adaptability, and honest communication.
Other coaches might train the runner. I coach the person who runs.
