Alexandra was exactly what we needed for our first marathon. Halfway through we felt lost and burnt out, and worried we were overtraining. We came to her struggling with fatigue and feeling like we were doing too much, and she immediately reassured us, listened to our concerns, and built us a clear, manageable 7-week plan. She checked in and made sure we felt supported. It was the perfect amount of contact, just enough that we felt cared for and not left wondering, without feeling like too much. We really appreciated that she didn’t put any pressure on us at all when we first contacted her looking for help, she was just lovely.

We finished our marathon feeling stronger than we ever imagined, consistent all the way through, and actually enjoyed it (well most of it)! She got us to that finish line when we weren’t sure we could do it. Can’t recommend her enough, thank you!

First time using a running coach – great to get feedback on what I was doing right and getting hints on what I was doing wrong.

Great style of coaching, engaging and empathetic. Post session report helps me remember what we talked through and where to focus.

I only started running in my 60s and my goal was to run a half marathon. After several injuries (including hamstring 4 weeks before the event), I thought I had no chance of starting, let alone finishing. Alexandra offered to help and my question was “Do you think I have any chance of getting to the startline in 3 weeks time?” Her answer was “Yes. Lets go forward and work a way to get you not only on the start, but comfortably through the event”. And that’s exactly what happened – my first ever half marathon in 2:19:45. And I was even able to accelerate through the last few miles. No pain, no injuries and feeling pretty good.
Good advice, encouragement and confidence -building – thank you so much!

Alex is a great coach. I was returning to regular running after a period of injury. She carefully analysed my running and prescribed a warm up and training plan that suited my circumstances. After a few weeks I am back into it, injury free and enjoying running again. Coach Alex is highly recommended!

I engaged Alexandra to help me learn to love running! Since my sessions, I’ve signed up (and paid for!) several 10k events. Alexandra has been great, she’s very encouraging and very personable.

“Had a fantastic hour-long session with Alexandra.. Picked up some great tips and put them straight into practice with a drill we’re calling ‘pony.’ She’s already proving a big help with my marathon training for April 2027 — highly recommend.”

l had an excellent MOT with Alexandra today … she was amazing how she was able to correct my running style in just 75mins! I learnt so much and also how to make improvements moving forwards. She was extremely personable and has great knowledge and experience for any age group. I’m over 60 and have been so impressed I have signed up for more! My partner couldn’t believe the difference in running technique in the videos she took during the session and the annotations of these are extremely helpful.

I have attempted to run a marathon twice before joining NLRC. I have also had a long term hamstring issue however running a marathon was something I always wanted to achieve. Coach helped me stay on track and after a tailored training programme and lots of help, thanks to NLRC, I completed the 2026 London Marathon. Wouldn’t have been able to do it without this help!! Couldn’t recommend more!

I was invited by Alexandra to join her and the group to do parkrun today followed by a free coaching session.

She was ever so welcoming and really encouraging along with an abundance of top tips and a wealth of knowledge.

I’ve always thought that a coaching session was out of my comfort zone but Alexandra soon parked that!

Come and see for yourself!

I had my first session today and it was brilliant – concise, structured analysis of my running and I left with a clear indication that Alexandra is the running coach for me and how I will get to my goals!

Alexandra has a gift for blending practical advice and honest feedback with supportive encouragement. With her coaching, I shaved minutes off my Parkrun times and gained the confidence and motivation to tackle my first 10K. Her guidance has made a real difference — I’d highly recommend her.

I started working with Alexandra a few months ago now and have really enjoyed it so far! We have done a few F2F sessions and each one has been varied but also tailored to my wants/needs. I loved the agility session we did! I have recently signed up to the full training package and have again really enjoyed the varied runs and strength classes. I have definitely felt more confident in my runs and it’s helped me love running even more (I found myself plateau-ing a bit before!). I’m looking forward to working with her more in the future as I ramp up towards my half!

I have been following on FB for a while and realised I was procrastinating! So I booked in for a running MOT as feel like I’m stuck in a rut and have lost my mojo and love for running. Alexandra was amazing and extremely knowledgeable. I’m excited to get back to running. Who knew changing a few simple things would make a difference!

Alexandra coached me to a 3:40 marathon at London this year and I couldn’t be more thankful. Something that I loved was the strength and conditioning plans which helped me recover from runs and ensured that I had no injuries for the full 16 week plan. Would highly recommend her to anyone !!

I won’t deny that Alexandra is setting me some tough tasks, particularly the strength and conditioning work, but she has improved my running form, technique on trails and provided me with an interesting and varied fitness framework.

After several months of tutelage, I am feeling stronger than ever and less injured than ever before.

I can’t endorse Alexandra’s expertise and coaching skills highly enough.

I have never used a running coach before but I wish I had started long ago! I am now a confident and in control runner and I actually look forward to whatever is going to be thrown at me throughout the week. Alexandra is a fantastic motivation and works around your routine, i could not recommend her enough for coaching.

Coaching sessions are well structured, locations thoroughly checked, and risks assessed and mitigated.

Communication is another strong point, achieving a fun learning experience with very clear explanations and objectives, constantly seeking feedback and checking understanding.

Having taken up running at an age when many runners are thinking of taking it easy, Alexandra’s advice, encouragement and coaching have made a real difference in improving my strength, pace, endurance and love of running.

I think anyone starting running, returning after injury or just training for specific events or personal objectives could benefit from the coaching Alexandra offers.
